Editorial policy

Show the measurement, source, and uncertainty

HomeNook separates geometry facts, user-entered assumptions, editorial guidance, and unknown manufacturer requirements so a neat result never looks more certain than the inputs allow.

Measurement method

Geometry is calculated in millimetres and displayed in the unit selected by the user. Tangent edges are not treated as overlapping, while room-boundary, door-swing, appliance-access, and fixed-obstacle intersections are reported separately. Inputs that are absent stay unknown.

Manufacturer-dependent requirements

HomeNook does not supply a universal rear gap, door clearance, lid clearance, vent route, gas connection rule, or installation approval. Enter values from the exact model installation manual and record its URL and date. Example manufacturer material is a method reference, never a substitute for the owned appliance manual.

Costs and products

Solution finders describe neutral categories rather than current SKUs. HomeNook does not claim live prices, stock, ratings, or a “best” product. Reading-nook costs are calculated only from editable ranges entered by the user, with their own currency, location, and as-of date.

Images and case evidence

Site images are AI-generated illustrative concepts, not photographs or evidence of completed projects. Reading-nook originals retain signed C2PA provenance, while the compressed laundry and entryway JPEGs are hash-traced to source repositories whose build records identify them as generated. This provenance does not turn a concept into a real case study: that would require permission, original measurements, dated and located costs, constraints, photographs, and a record of what changed. None is currently presented as a completed project.
